Meet the Founder

Khadijah Abdullah saw firsthand how difficult it was for families to find trusted, values-aligned childcare. While working as a nanny, she often heard parents searching for caregivers they could truly trust in their homes. Those experiences inspired a more thoughtful, community-centered approach to nanny placement.

Muslim Nannies was born

Inspired by that need, Khadijah founded Muslim Nannies to help connect families with trusted caregivers through a relationship-centered approach rooted in professionalism, care, and amanah (trust).

As the needs of families continued to grow, Khadijah expanded her work by founding Playtime Event Sitters, a sister company specializing in wedding and event childcare.

Through both organizations, she has had the privilege of serving hundreds of children and families, providing trusted care from everyday childcare needs to weddings, conferences, and community events, including coordinating childcare for as many as 600 children at one event.

These experiences have reinforced her commitment to creating safe, engaging, and well-organized childcare experiences that families can trust.

Beyond her entrepreneurial work, Khadijah holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the George Washington University, and has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of children, youth, and families.

In addition to her professional experience, Khadijah is a proud mom. She understands the trust it takes to welcome someone into your home and care for what matters most. This shapes her commitment to helping families find caregivers who provide not only quality care, but also peace of mind.
